Managers need to empower self-managed teams, provide sufficient autonomy to them, and ensure that its members are motivated in the stage of group development.

Performing Stage of group development.

Explanation:

There are five stages of group development and they are Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing and Adjourning stages.

At the forming stage which is the first stage of group development, members begin to know each other and discuss their interests and roles rather than the tasks given itself.

At the Storming stage of group development, the group leader introduces the tasks at hand to the members of the group and discuss how to deal with it.

At the Norming stage members of the group show their ability and knowledge on how to deal with the task at hand.

At the Performing stage of group development, members exhibit their strength and capability and get motivated that they can perform their tasks with less supervision

while the last stage which is Adjourning stage is where members separate because the task has ended.
