How did the First Punic War differ from the Second Punic War?

Carthaginians started the first war and Rome started the second war.
Carthage had to pay a massive tribute when losing the first war, but she was utterly destroyed in the second war.
Rome reaped a bounty of roads, resources and slaves after the first war, but lost the second war because of a failed campaign by Hannibal.
Rome started the first war because she felt that Carthage's ownership of Sicily was too big of a threat. They started the second war out of pure greed.
