A victim- offender mediation process is usually done to restore peace and to heal or repair mostly the emotional and material damage caused by the crime. It will help the victim heal faster and be able to move on without carrying baggages of grudges and revenge. Mostly victim and offenders sit face to face with a mediator with them and they discuss the issue generally. The victim ask questions and this goes a long way in healing process.
