Martin Luther King's Letter from a Birmingham Jail promoted the constitutional principles and values.

Martin Luther King Jr. was sent to jail because of the protests they held regarding the mistreatment of the African Americans in Alabama in 1963.The Southern states followed separate but equal for the fellow blacks.Segregation was implemented where the blacks were separated from the whites in public places, schools, hospitals, parks, etc.As Martin Luther was sent to prison, he wrote a letter that showed some of the constitutional principles and values. He stressed non-violence and protest against prejudice.Martin Luther wanted to influence African America to fight for their rights by respecting the constitutional laws.
