One positive in online learning is the experience and independence young people can gain from it, when alone and quiet the rate of their learning is completely down to them. Without the noise and distractions of the classroom, children can thrive getting a better quality and quantity of work than ever before.

On the other hand, this means those who struggle in an independent environment may find it almost impossible to adjust,  some might even give up completely without the encouragement of their peers and teachers. This also creates a lack of structure, throwing routine out the window and leaving students to figure out their timetables by themselves.
