Heath has finally completed the data collection portion of his project. He immediately begins analyzing his data using an analysis of variance, as he previously planned; however, he quickly learns that his results are not significant (p =.06). Heath is frustrated because the results were "very close" to being significant. He decides to try conducting a multiple regression analysis and is pleased to see that his results are significant (p =.04). Because the significant levels were so close, Heath doesn't bother reporting that he conducted the analysis of variance in his paper, as he thinks that clearly multiple regression was the correct test to run. Heath could be accused of which poor research practice
