Political party primaries in Texas (and in other states) are held:.
a. whenever the party believes one is needed.
b. every year well before the general election.
c. in every even numbered year from January or February until the summer months before the general election.
d. in every odd numbered year from January or February until summer months before the general election.
e. 30 days after the general election.
