Explanation: The Progressives were social activists, idealist and reformers mainly  from the middle class,  that believed in the mass political reform in the United States and sprung from late 19th century to early 20th century.   Their belief were centered on  four main topic which were on  Prohibition,  improved citizen participation in politics by exposing politicians,  technological innovation/scientific inquiry  and women’s Suffrage

The progressives still exist today and their beliefs in line with the former insisting  on minority rights, increased minimum wages,  making  political changes and improving the society through government action, improving democracy, etc

the fourth amendment protects:

"the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."  

so this would mean the denial to search and seizure without warrant or permission.
