1.Domestic violence was common during this time and few abusers at any point in time just neglect people for the fun of it, but to make themselves feel better and attempt to provide some sort of stability or reassurance in their lives.

2.They are jealous because they know that if they even tried to do the same thing to their wife, she would beat them up just as much. The men throughout this whole book have treated the women as a possession or as animals and I believe that this stems from the way African Americans were brought up into society as slaves and/or threatened by white oppression and opression breeds opresssion and violence will breed violence.

3.A fight broke out and the majority of Mrs. Turner's cafe was destroyed. I think this was more than just an accident. I think, although not everything might not have been planned, they did go to her cafe on purpose and they weren't as sorry as they came across.
