At the site of gas exchange in the lungs where do the oxygen move

The gas exchange takes place in the millions of alveoli in the lungs and the muscles that enter them. As shown below, oxygen breathes from the alveoli into the blood in the capillaries, and the oxygen moves from the blood from the capillaries to the air in the alveoli.
