evolution- “ a process of continuous change from a lower, simpler, or worse, to a higher, more complex or better state.” -merriam webster’s dictionary. evolution is what makes the similarities and differences between modern and prehistoric homo-sapiens. so many improvements and advantages have come from the changes brought from evolution. as an example, technology today has a completely different meaning from what it would mean during prehistory. to compare modern society and the lives of the earliest homo-sapiens, there are many similarities as well as differences.
there are many similarities between modern and prehistoric homo-sapiens. as an example, humans live and spend time with relatives and friends. humans do this because human interaction is hardwired into humans to fulfill the urge to express feelings and emotions. all homo-sapiens have outlived other hominids. people successfully accomplished this because trial and error was used to discover smart and easy ways to positively impact our lives. homo-sapiens use tools in daily life. even though modern humans have more efficient and tools, both use the supplies available. modern and prehistoric homo-sapiens have special needs. all humans require food, water, shelter, and clothing. humans need these items because they are necessary for survival and wellness. food and water give energy and reduce hunger, shelter provides a place to stay safe from the dangers of the wilderness, and clothing protects from extreme temperatures.
homo-sapiens have many differences. such as, the hunters and gatherers only transportation was walking. they had no choices when it came to transportation, whereas present day humans have a variety of choices to decide from to travel, as an example, cars, planes, and boats. there are thousands of languages being spoken in modern times, however, the early homo-sapiens hadn’t properly developed communication or written language in their generation. to survive, hunters and gatherers spent time daily collecting and hunting for food and resources unlike today, with just a click of a button humans can have packages delivered to doorsteps. that’s because modern technology make life easier by giving alternative ways to get tasks completed. when the earliest homo-sapiens were alive, there were two exclusive roles- hunting and gathering. hunting was done by the men, and gathering was completed by the women, children and elders; because society was in progress at the time. luckily for modern humans, there is a variety of jobs that can well suit anyone.
in conclusion, both modern and prehistoric homo-sapiens are very similar and different. incredibly, life isn’t completely different; but life isn’t identical either.
