Falling moral standard is the breakdown in the morals and behavior in the society. The following are ways to minimize falling moral standard.

1. Role of parents: The home has a very huge role to play in minimizing the falling moral standard. Parents should teach their children and instill good morals and values in them.

2. Showing youths good examples and rewarding virtues: Youth can be taught theoretically by speaking to them on morals and values but showing them good examples of rewarding virtues will capture their mind  To capture them young, parents must show them examples of people with good morals.

3. Society should encourage virtues and not vices: It's quite unfortunate that we now live in a society where vices are justified. Some youths in Ghana engage in examination malpractice, drug abuse, Internet fraud, rituals etc and the society hasn't really done enough to address these vices. Good behaviors and morals should be promoted and encouraged while vices should be discouraged and punished.

4. Good leadership in schools: Youths learn a lot in schools while interacting with their teachers, fellow students, and others. Teachers may sometimes exploit their students. A good example is "sex for Mark". This should be addressed and schools should lay good examples for students. Good leadership leads to good followership. School authorities should imbibe discipline and learning into their students.

5. Role of the society: The society also has a vital role to play in the morals standards of youths. A society that decides to reward poor virtues and morals is digging its grave, hence, governments at all levels must ensure that they reward good morals and attitude.

Jobs and contracts should be transparent and should not be reserved for people based on the political and social patronage. Also, people and the society must recognize God.
