PROJECT: HISTORICAL FIGURES IN U. S. GOVERNMENT
The nature of the American presidency is such that the person who holds that office has an opportunity to effect great
societal change. Some presidents have had a greater impact on our society, both for good and ill, than others. Today, you
will be examining the contributions of some American presidents and one Supreme Court justice who have had a
significant impact on our society. You will do this in the form of a multimedia presentation.
OBJECTIVES
Identify U. S. presidents and key figures who have had a significant impact on U. S. history.
Examine the contributions to both society and government of key political figures.
