Can someone help - just a quick question but i told one of my teachers that I trusted that I was sad , and he went and told safeguarding and I don’t see how that’s a safeguarding issue? Does anyone know why he would tell?

The reason that he snitched you out if because it is his "job". I understand that you trusted the teacher but he is held accountable by his job and by law that if a student or child says something like  " im sad" then he is required to report it because it may be an effect of home abuse and or other negative things.

DONT TRUST TEACHERS

Maybe because when you had said that to your teacher he has to called someone so you can talk to that person in a different room and you can tell a Counselor that why you are sad and that you don't know what to do and they might ask you if you want to stay in there office to calm down and take a deep breath
