What aspects of psychodynamic theory do you think still have relevance in today’s world? Was there one neo-Freudian whose theory appealed to you, and if so, why?

Methatheory is a part of psychodynamic theory that i believe is still relevant today, Karen Horney's basic anxiety hypothesis is aeon-Freudian idea that appeals to me.

Psychodynamic theory is a branch of psychology that investigates the forces that shape experience and how they could influence a person's early years. This approach overemphasized psychological aspects while overlooking biological influences on a person's mental health. Sigmund Freud's work is revered by neo-Freudians, who focus on the social environment and culture rather than the impacts of sex.

The aspect of the psychodynamic theory that I think still has relevance today is metatheory.

The neo-Freudian theory that appeals to me is basic anxiety as theorized by Karen Horney. It appeals to me because the theory gave three options for someone suffering from basic anxiety which is moving towards others,  moving against others, and moving away from others.
