1. During violations of human rights, people go for protests but their voices are pressed down. Media playing its role can expose this and spread this news nation wide so that protesting people get support from the whole country.
2. Many times, one individual is unable raising his voice concerned authority. Media, be it mass or digital can help him by publicizing his matter and there are chances that the authorities take him seriously and try to solve his problems.

The best sociological research method would have to be using experiments although it has some disadvantages as well
