North Carolina’s settlement impact on the economy with its geography?

I’m pretty sure North Carolina is good farming location. It has the facilities to sustain big farm plantations.For example it is a good place to farm tabaco, which was a very popular thing a long time ago. All of their crops and supplies from their farms could be sold to boost the economy of the state.
