Access to doctors and medicine not having to wait at a smaller hospital for a procedure or travel far for one or prescriptions .

Better education opportunities access to public, private an parochial schools in addition to libraries

Better variety of food, supermarkets, resturants.

Ability to get most of what commercial good's you nèed to live close to home and a large variety of stores

Depending were you work you may only have to take a very short bus or subway ride to get there and not even need to own a car .
