Relative dating is utilized to decide fossils estimated age by contrasting it with comparative fossils and rock of known ages. absolute dating is utilized to decide the exact age of a rock or fossil by using the radiometric dating method to find the decay of isotopes, it can be inside the fossils or more regularly the stones related to it.  

It is learned by the students in the lab that that radioactive decaying can assist researchers with making sense of the age of rocks and minerals. I additionally discovered that dating rock layers and the geologic time scale can assist us with understanding Earth's history by distinguishing what was occurring to Earth and what lived on Earth when the stone layers were framed.
