However, if we look into impact it has on the environment, it is really disheartening. The earth is getting rapidly warmer each day, many animal species are on the verge of extinction, there are multitudes of environmental crisis everywhere, and the polluted air is affecting the lives of millions.

I understand that doing away with extraction of oil would greatly affect the standard of living of many people, yet it is worth the risk. The government of Saudi Arabia can always look for alternative ways to invest our billions of revenue into other avenues such as technology, tourism, corporate, renewable energy, etc.

We can adopt economic measures and practices like Japan and Korea where investments are channelled into technology and computer science. Though doing away with extraction of feul may put lots of people at stake, the future generations would at least have a better and cleaner earth.
