What are two ways a voter can become more informed about candidates
or issues?

Two of my favorite ways of staying informed are the various news websites, and Congress.org which tells us exactly how the various representatives have voted on a particular bill or issue.  It doesn't really matter too much what the poiticians say in their speeches.  What really matters is the voting record.

do your research and always doublle check everything and anything someone tells you about politicians or issues. and also stick to credible sources and not instagram or twitter.

it is a part of john locke's natural rights popular during the age of enlightenment that people had inalienable rights to life, liberty and property. this was reflected by thomas jefferson in his declaration of independence as rights to life,liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

another line in the declaration of independence is that people have certain rights just because they are human. humans are capable of obeying the three natural rights john locke mentioned making them governable by these laws and therefore entitled to these rights as well.
