Based on my Ancient Egyptians built pyramids to honor the dead and elaborate temples to honor their gods. Mesopotamians built temples called ziggurats as part of a larger city complex. Ancient Egyptians recorded information on papyrus. The Mesopotamians recorded information on stone tablets. Egyptians relied on the annual flooding of the Nile River to carry out agriculture. Mesopotamians built extensive irrigation systems to sustain agriculture. Select one of the two differences that you analyzed and wrote about in part C of this activity. Describe how this one thing contributed to the development of ancient Egyptian civilization. How is it different in comparison to ancient Mesopotamia? How did this development make Egypt so unique?
