Latin America's Amazon Rainforest provides many resources for the world's residents, including wood, water, and medicinal resources, as well as the oxygen processed by its many trees and plants. Choose one resource and describe how it benefits the world. How would you protect this resource and help future generations experience it?

One resource that greatly benefits the entire world is the forests water. Water from the amazon rainforest flows through its many rivers, the most famous example being the Amazon River. The water found here has many uses. One of which is the most obvious: Drinking water. Several areas around the world are in need of water, and the water from the Amazon could help solve this problem is distributed to those in need. It also benefits food production, as almost all fruits and veggies need water to grow. More water means more crops. I would help to protect this precious resource by raising penalties for harming the Amazons ecosystem, which will discourage things like littering. On a larger scale, I could also restrict government acsess to the Amazon, which will help stop deforestation, which destroys the habitat.
