Based on the map, why was the Fertile Crescent favorable for early settlements?

The Fertile Crescent was favorable for early settlement because the region had good access to water and it had very fertile soil around the rivers, these factors all helped with farming. All in all it was favorable because of its easy access to water which also made harvest more plentiful and inviting to settle.
