How latitude and altitude affect the climate?

Latitude affects the climate by places located at higher latitudes, receive less sunlight because it’s far from the equator than places with lower latitude. The amount of sunlight can affect the type of plants and animals that can reside in a location. Altitude effects climate because places with higher altitude have colder temperatures and weather, distance from the sea oceans heat up and cool down more slow than land.
