For a social studies project How well is the United States upholding the principles of the Declaration of Independence?

Principle #2 in the decleration of independence does not follow up "all people have basic rights that cannot be taken away" yet that still doesn't happen there are rights that effect colored people or not so white people also people that are broke or a little poor.

The reason they are not doing a good job on that is because women don't get paid equally as men do even thought they are both working for the same job or person, Same amount of money, But men always earn more money than the women, The government need to stop that.
