Imagine that you are the defendant in a trial where you are being charged with burglary. You are innocent and yet there is a great deal of evidence that make you look like you are guilty of the crime. You are being held in jail for the duration of the trial. Write a letter to your parents during the first day of deliberation. Think about the kind of things that you might be feeling while they jurors are deciding your fate. Your letter must be 350 words and have at least two references to the Constitution that you think will help your case or that you think might hurt your case. Make sure that your letter sounds real and captures the emotion that someone who is in your shoes may really be feeling.
