Read the paragraph from the section "Class Hierarchy. Feudal Japanese and European Societies were built on a system of inherited classes. The nobles were at the top, followed by warriors, with
farmers or serfs below. The farmers and servants did not own land but lived under the protection of the nobles. There was very little social
mobilly, and the children of peasants became peasants, while the children of lords became lords and ladies.
