2020 has been a year of social justice protests , mainly around police brutality and emphasizing the idea that Black Lives Matter. For some, this position was seen as problematic along with ideas around "defund the police". Most recently, we saw what has been termed as an insurrection and domestic terrorism at the nations capitol. We saw the mob violence and brutality of the mostly white crowd.
