EASY POINTS Sir please tell us what is happening here and why.
Well, white settlers, like myself, wanted to stay in Georgia because of gold. Although the natives were here before us and wanted us out of their land. So, the U. S congress passed the indian removal act to push them off their land. Some natives tried putting up a fight, but failed. As of now, soldiers take some natives into small groups and take them west. To a land of equal size of georgia.

Sir, what were the causes of Cherokee nation v. georgia and Worcester v. georgia? How do the cases relate to what is happening now?
In the Cherokee nation v. Georgia, the U. S congress prepared to kick us out of our own land. We went to court to sue them for this unfair act. We the Cherokee wanted to be a separate land, so that Georgia cannot enforce laws within our territory. Unfortunately we lost and the case was dismissed. A year later, the Worcester v. The Georgia case explained a brave native named Samuel Worcester who went to jail. He spoke on behalf of the Cherokee, and managed to appeal to the supreme court. Worcester claimed that Georgia can not make or enforce laws on cherokee. The Supreme Court found the removal act unconstitutional President jackson states that the natives can make treaties with the United states, including treaties of removal. Although Jackson went against the supreme court he sent delegates to make treaties with some cherokee. Other cherokees who were against the removal would not sign the treaties. Although arguments of treaties that did not support some cherokees were ignored. They had received land equal in size to Georgia and were forced by U. S soldiers. These cases relate to what is happening now because we are being forced out of our land.

Ma’am, please tell us about how this movement is affecting your people, now and for the future.
This movement is affecting my people now from death. Such as lack of decent food, water, sanitation, and medical supplies. We are also moving with important needs, leaving behind family relics. Now, the movement may affect my people in the future from losing the place our ancestors live in. Children who could be born in this upcoming state will not be connected as much as living in the primary home. Also, they will not be able to learn the landmarks created by the older adults.

What was Robert Lindeux's purpose in painting this event? What evidence in the painting suggests his purpose?
I think the purpose in painting this event was to pay respect to the cherokees. The evidence in the painting suggests his purpose is the sad faces and the gloomy day. The cherokees have been through alot; losing their home, the lives lost, and the pain to get to some unknown land.
