What are some similarities between Aztec and Canadian Society?

Canada separate their regions into several provinces. Those provinces were separated again into smaller cities. Aztec did something similar, but they refer to the smaller region as city-states rather than provinces.

Canada conduct an international trades to obtain goods that they can't produce efficiently  (such as vehicles and machineries). Aztec merchants also do this, but their major imports were mostly luxury products

Canada was known for its socialist policies. They collect pretty high amount of tax and distribute it back in the form of government programs. Aztec did a similar thing, but they did it mostly for crops distribution.
