What Would happen if the earth went into Nuclear Warfare or known as WW3 Would Humanity be able to live on?

And if you didn't die or get insinarated after the blast or throw away and killed by the shockwave where would be the safest place to go to hide from radiation?

Question 2: It would cause extreme amounts of damage to Earth and all of the beings on it. It could also destroy Earth's atmosphere.

Question 3: Most likely, but if not all then the majority of people would die and the surviving people would be exposed to radiation.

Last Question: You probably shouldn't go into a basement because it is still warfare. A bunker could be discoverable and blown to pieces, but isn't a bad option. In a bunker, you could survive if it was protected from the warfare around it.
