Groups are commonly established with a certain goal in mind. In order to do that, they would need each of their members to do specialized task that contribute to the groups' final goal. If the members failed to do this, their existence in the group will became some sort of a burden for other members who need to cover them.

Every groups will have some core principles/moral standards that represent the group.  To make sure the members are conforming to these standards , a set of rules/laws will be created.  It is the responsibilities of the group to follow that rules so the reputation of the group wouldn't be tainted when examined by people from outside of the group.

- Maintaining orders/harmony with the members of the group

Since a group is consisted of several individuals, differences in opinion might occur from time to time. These differences can caused conflict. When conflicts happen, it is the responsibilities of the group members to follow the proper way of conduct created by the groups to resolve the conflict. Otherwise that person need to be kicked out to maintain orders/harmony.
