The planting of trees is one effort that has been made by people, organizations, and internet/You.Tube celebrities.

Trees take in the carbon dioxide we exhale and turns that element (along with glucose and ATP) into Oxygen.

The people are trying to plant enough trees to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide that is being stored within the atmosphere of Earth. Trees reduce the amount of carbon dioxide, which is really good.

Another effort is not using machines that emit carbon dioxide or other forms of somewhat toxic gas/pollutants. Some people do this by riding a bike or walking/running to work or school. Others try to carpool or ride a bus to lessen the amount of cars that are used on the road.
