Finding out information about the past may involve wanting to have a good knowledge of facts or a research which requires having a good knowledge of previous occurrences.

The use of fossil records have been used widely in geography, geology and other field in other to trace and obtain information about the past farioua organism and rocks and how they have changed over time.

Reading journals : Books still form a very large portion of places in which information is embedded. We have books that have been written since the 18th century or before. All these booka are sources of information where events of the past are being kept.

Internet: The internet has consistently being a the heart of information whereby so many different informations could be obtaainwd with very little fuss.
