The following are the five democratic structures of the South African government;

1) National government; the national government oversees the major events in the country ranging from safety, defense, foreign affairs and home affairs. They ensure that policies are implemented and supervise the process, also they settle disputes in provinces.

2) Provincial government; this sector of the government is responsible for education, health and social development, basically social amenities like roads, education, development of health agencies.

3) Local government: the local government oversees the local communities within it's reach, they are provided for & supervised by the province and national sector.

4) Traditional Authorities; they are representatives of the local communities, also known as agents for development in those areas, they represent the people from the smaller groups

5) Political parties; the various parties come up with different persons who represent them in every election process. They also stand as opposition to speak against unfavourable governing by the present government to her people.
