Because tobacco use is known to cause cancer, heart disease, and other health harms that disproportionately impact African Americans and Hispanics, back in 2011, Dr. Murphy received a grant to address tobacco use on the HT campus. She engaged the help of the HT Student Health Activist Organization [then known as Student Consumer Health Advocates (CHAs) but now known as EPICC] who administered baseline surveys on tobacco use knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors before the HT tobacco free campus policy intervention and at 12-month follow-up after the HT tobacco free campus policy intervention to over 300 students, staff, and faculty who volunteered to participate when the CHAs encountered them anywhere on the campus grounds. The results showed that at baseline before the tobacco-free policy intervention the survey found that use of tobacco was low (10%). After the implementation of the tobacco-free campus policy intervention statistically significant reduction in tobacco use at the .05 level of significance “on campus” from 10% to 5% was demonstrated.1) Was this an experimental or a quasi-experimental design? 2) If you answered experimental, explain why you chose the answer that you did; if you chose quasi-experimental, explain why you chose the answer that you did 3) If you answered experimental, then what kind of experimental design was this; if you answered quasi-experimental, then what kind of quasi-experimental design was this? 4) What could be considered the independent (also known as predictor) variable? 5) What could be considered the dependent (also known as outcome) variable? 6) What kind of sampling was this? 7) Explain why you chose the answer that you did for number

Supreme court. jim, who is a bit eccentric, says that he is fed up with the way a certain employer in his town treats employees and that he is going to sue that employer in an effort to improve matters. jim also says that he is going to start his case at the appellate court level, skipping over all those "lesser" judges. jim says that those justices will surely hear him out and that he will also seek a jury. although he is not a lawyer, jim believes that the offenses of the employer are so severe that the justices will appreciate his attempt to make things better for the employees involved. will jim get a jury at the appellate court level?
