Rob never really thought about how his emotions would affect him and he just kept them in the suitcase. I think the sun represents a new start for his emotions, and how he is now going to act differently in a good way.

So I would say (this is kinda what I put on mine), is "Since sunrise means the birth and rebirth, the sunrise is when Rob's mother has passed away and Rob "locked his emotions" in his "suitcase" and he said to himself that he will not express or show his feelings. Then since it is rebirth meaning after ALL of what happened throughout a journey or story, it comes to the end which was Rob Finally accepts that his mom is gone when the tiger was killed by Rob's dad. Even though he was angry he didn't say a word."
