Stress signals are the ways you express stress for example: ruminating thoughts, shaking of legs, pacing.
Stressors are things that stress you, for example relationship problems or exam.

There are many ways stress can affect individual and it very necessary for everyone to be fully aware of stress signals. There are different categories that stress signal fall into, and these include: behaviors, feelings, thought and physical symptoms.

Individual will experience any of the following whenever they are under stress

Feelings: such as irritability, moodiness, fear, embarrassment and anxiety

Thoughts: such as forgetfulness, fear of failure, confusion, repetitive of thoughts, self - criticism, difficulty in making decisions, difficulty in concentrating.

Physical: such as headaches, fatigues, back pain, neck pain, stomach distress, fast breathing, dry mouth, trembling, colds, and tight muscles and sleep disturbances.

Behaviors: such as increased appetite, decreased appetite, crying, teeth grinding, acting impulsively, alcohol use and many more.

Stressors challenge both the physical and psychological well-being of individual, stressors indicates a potential threat to individual’s life.
