Research has found that those who text message while driving are times more likely to get into a crash or a near-wreck than distracted drivers

The numbers exemplifying the dangers of cell phone use while driving are downright surprising. In fact, at any given time throughout the day, approximately 660,000 drivers are making an attempt to use their phones while behind the wheel of a vehicle. According to investigation, it revealed that text messaging had the highest danger of over 23 times worse than driving while not using a phone, also had the lengthiest duration of eyes-off-road time. This associates to a driver traveling the length of a football field at 55 miles per hour without looking at the roadway.
