Federalists support a strong central U.S. federal government, along with the ratification of the 1787 Constitution. 

Anti-Federalists reject the idea of a stronger U.S. central government and opposed the ratification of the 1787 Constitution. 

Federalists want a robust federal government, and anti-federalists want state governments to hold more authority.
