Slide #6, 7 and 8. Plants. Identify 3 different plant populations that are present in your biome. For each of the plants identified, include 3 interesting facts (these may include adaptations to the biome, population trends, etc.). Include pictures of each type of plant.
Slide #9. Food Web. Please draw out* a food web (this should not be printed from a website) for your biome. Make sure to double check that your arrows are pointing the right way. Include at least 3 plants in your web (these should be the plants that you chose for Slide #6,7 and 8). The animals do not necessarily have to match the animals that you choose for earlier slides. Make sure that your web shows at least three trophic levels of consumers. Label the producers, primary consumers, secondary consumers, etc.
Slide #10. Abiotic Factors. Identify 3 abiotic factors that are important to your biome and explain why each is important to your ecosystem. Examples include soil conditions, abundance or lack of water, high winds, lots of sunshine, etc. Use clipart or actual photos to make your slide more attractive.
Slide #11, 12, and 13. Symbiotic Relationships. Describe in 1-2 sentences the following symbiotic relationships in your biome:
Parasitic
Mutualistic
Commensalistic
Make sure to identify the species involved and briefly explain which species benefit (or don’t) and why. Use clipart or actual photos to make your slide more attractive.
Slide #14. Natural/Human Threats. Identify and explain the largest threats to your biome in its specified location. Note: There may be multiple threats (such as drought, wildfire, etc.). You may also explain any threats to plant/animal populations. Use clipart or actual photos to make your slide more attractive.
Slide #15. Website References.
Notes on instructions for citations: You need to use a website that makes your bibliography. This web search provides many sources that will create a free bibliography.
