Unemployment simply means even the individuals who are active and looking for job can't find jobs.

Causes of unemployment:

1. Reduction in demand: When there's a reduction in the demand for goods and services, thus can bring about unemployment as employees will be forced to terminate the contract of some staffs due to less revenue generated.

2. When the skills of the unemployed person doesn't match the jobs available. This us referred to as structural unemployment.

3. Voluntary unemployment which is when a worker leaves his or her job on her own due to the fact that it's not financially compelling.

4. Geographical immobility which is the difficulties in moving to another place to get a job.
