It had been many years since the war had ended. Life was getting back to normal. People were recovering from the deaths of their loved ones. They were learning to rebuild their lives. Even so, businesses were finding it difficult to find skilled workers, and farms were struggling. Even though I was a farmer, I was tempted to switch careers. However, I told myself it was a matter of time before my luck would change. There would be plenty of opportunities to earn good money. Maybe moving to a new city would help.
