Why was nepal declared a secular state​

Secularism is the separation of state from religion. It means religion has no role to play in how a country is governed. A secular state has no official religion and treats everyone equally regardless of their religious beliefs. It means that no one is discriminated against in the name of religion. Modern, liberal and forward-looking people support secularism and want to make their country secular. Religious, conservative and backward-looking people are against secularism and want to give their country a Christian, Islamic, Buddhist, Hindu or whatever identity.
