One indicator of whether or not a source is credible is to investigate the author, specifically the author's credentials. Another way to think about the credibility of authorship is to consider and investigate whether or not the author:

1.)Made a profit on selling their book
2.)Has published a best seller.
3.)is in a "position to know."
4.)Has published a book on another topic.
