Daniel Shays, an American __Revolution veteran and farmer was when he returned home from the war to discover that many of his could not afford to pay the high because their farms while they were away fighting the war. Because the farmers could not pay their taxes they were put in __Jail or their land was , or seized. First, Shay led a rebellion of farmers armed with and to take control of the so that they could not take people’s land or place them in jail. Then, Shays and his men the arsenal where weapons were stored. The rebels were by the Massachusetts militia which killed three of Shay’s men. In the end, Shay’s Rebellion but was not forgotten. The rebellion alerted the nation to the problems of the new nation – if a group of farmers could the government, what could happen to the if a more powerful force were to stir up trouble. This incident convinced the nation’s leaders to its government.
