I NEED TO INTERVIEW A PSYCHOLOGIST/PROFESSIONAL, PLEASE HELP ME AND ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS IN DETAIL 1. What do professionals in this field consider to be important general topics? That is, what are the “driving questions” of this field? Why? What interests do people in this field share in common with each other?

2. What are the key terms and / or concepts being used in discussions within this field? Define or explain these terms as needed.

3. What assumptions do people within, as well as outside the field make about the nature of their work, the overall project of this particular field? Do they all make the same assumptions? Why do they consider some topics / questions important and worthy of study and debate, and others not so?

4. How do professionals approach researching various topics? What methods are considered appropriate and valid for exploring questions in this field? Which are not?

5. What differences are there between what’s “interesting” and important in academia and what is so in the nonacademic world?

• After reading your essay, the intended audience should have some strong leads for topics (and references to them) that they might explore in more detail later in the course. In addition, be informative, give explanations and examples when needed, document your sources, check your work for clarity, conciseness, and maturity of style.
