A researcher was interested in whether final course grades between those students who care about, or have an interest in, their courses are significantly different than those who do not. From a population of students enrolled in the same course, she recruited 4 individuals who DID care about the course and 5 individuals who did NOT care about the course. At the end of the semester, she recorded the final course grade for each individual (max = 100%). The data and mean for each group are below:

Students who did care (treat this group as μ1) : 95, 80, 87, 92, Avg = 88.5

Students who did not care (treat this group as μ2): 70, 85, 60, 88, 65, Avg = 73.6

Required:

c. Calculate and report the values for pooled variance, standard error, and the t-observed.
