How can deindividuation explain adolescent acts of vandalism on halloween?

Deindividuation refers to the loss of self-awareness or sympathy toward other members within his/her social group.
The existence of deindividuation make adolescents tend to want to detach themselves from the society by doing something that society condemned, such as destroying property of others or using drugs.
